Thao Dien is one of the wards that make up Saigon’s Thu Duc City, which is a city within the city. Located near Districts 1 and Binh Thanh, with the Hanoi highway and new metro line running across on one side, and the river encircling the rest of the neighbourhood, Thao Dien is a closed-in area. A large portion of Saigon’s expat population call this area home, due to the upmarket residential apartments, condominiums and villas available across Thao Dien. There are also numerous foreign schools, businesses, and shopping experiences in this area.
The Thao Dien neighbourhood in District 2 of Saigon is known for its laid-back mood, low-rise structures, and creative culture.
