SAU Explores: District 7 & Phu My Hung
The southern river area of Phu My Hung in District 7 is built as a model urban environment with numerous unique sites to appreciate its beauty. Located about 20 minutes away from District 1, this area has been designated as a “Model Urban Area” by the Ministry of Construction in 2008. Phu My Hung is a great place to cycle through the parks to admire the blend of green architecture and open spaces. Aside from that, this neighbourhood is known for its diversity in authentic Korean cuisine due to the vast number of Korean expats living here. This is why Phu My Hung is also known as Saigon’s Korea Town, or K-Town.
The area is also surrounded by plenty of new developments within District 7, from new roads and malls, to family-friendly facilities. Here’s our selection of what to do, and where to explore in this beautiful area just slightly away from the city centre.
