SAU Presents: Foodie’s Guide to Street Snacks in Ho Chi Minh City

With an infinite number of vendors serving popular Vietnamese street snacks such as chè (sweet soup), phá lấu (stew with organ meats), and tré trộn (fermented pork skin salad), etc., Ho Chi Minh City is essentially one big open-air restaurant full of local delights. You can find cheap, hearty, and delicious food every direction you turn, from makeshift stalls in alleys, to markets and food streets. Saigon street food, and especially the snacks, are a must-try for any visit to the largest city in Vietnam.

However, before you run into a market and get overwhelmed by the diversity of it all, SAU would like to share some of the best places to get started with proper Vietnamese street snacks in Saigon, as recommended by a local foodie.
